The GIANTS could be boosted by a host of key inclusions for Sunday’s clash with the Kangaroos in Tasmania.
Phil Davis and Matt de Boer are available for selection for the round 13 match while Toby Greene is listed as a test and will be available if he gets through Thursday’s main training session.
Davis (calf) and de Boer (hamstring) both suffered injuries in round three while Greene has missed the last two matches with a shoulder injury.
Second-year forward Tom Hutchesson is also available for selection on the comeback from hamstring and calf issues.
GIANTS Head of Medical Cullan Ball said:
“We had a big block of training here on Saturday where Phil, Matt and Tom all completed full training ahead of this week’s game.
“Phil and Matt have done really well in their rehabilitation over the past few months while Tom has battled a few minor injuries.
“Toby is tracking really well, with the bye giving us another week for his shoulder to recover.
“He’ll need to tick off all his contact work on Thursday but should he do so, he’ll be available for Sunday’s match.”
Draftee Conor Stone suffered a minor hamstring injury during a VFL level scrimmage before the bye and will miss this week’s matches.
Meanwhile, luckless ruckman Braydon Preuss underwent successful surgery on his torn pectoral muscle that will sideline him for another four-to-five months.
The GIANTS take on North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena in Hobart on Sunday while the VFL side are set to take on Aspley at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.
