The GIANTS will enjoy the weekend off as they prepare for their round three clash with the Hawks at UTAS Stadium on Saturday, March 29.

Brent Daniels will use the weekend off to recover from his hip pointer injury which forced him to be subbed out of Sunday’s win over the Demons at the MCG.

The classy small forward copped a knock during the second quarter and despite playing on, was later subbed out of the game at the beginning of the third quarter.

Daniels will continue to manage the pain but has been cleared to train fully this week.

Star forward duo Jesse Hogan and Jake Stringer will ramp up their training load both this week and next in order to be available for the GIANTS’ next clash.

The pair will face a final fitness test next week ahead of the round three match.

Promising draftee Ollie Hannaford will consult a hand specialist early this week after injuring his wrist in the VFL practice match last weekend.

Meanwhile, ruckman Kieren Briggs is progressing through his concussion protocols and is expected to be available when the GIANTS face the Hawks next week.
