Tim Mohr will make his return to football this weekend after coming back from two successive knee reconstructions.

Key defender Mohr will play in the WSU GIANTS’ trial match against the Swans reserves at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday morning.

Fellow defender Nick Haynes could also play in the match after being listed as a test as he completes his rehabilitation from pre-season groin surgery.

Young draftee Jacob Hopper is available for selection after recovering from a minor concussion sustained in a NEAFL trial match a fortnight ago.

Fellow midfielder Stephen Coniglio has also been cleared to play after missing the last two NAB Challenge games with a slight hamstring strain.

That leaves second-year GIANTS Jeremy Finlayson (knee - 2-4 weeks) and Paul Ahern (knee - season) as the only other names on the injury list heading into round one.

The GIANTS take on the Melbourne Demons at the MCG on Saturday from 1.40pm while the GIANTS’ reserves play Swans reserves in a trial match in Blacktown at 9.30am on the same day.
