Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Senior Assistant Coach Leon Cameron will join Fox Footy's AFL 360 as a panellist from next Monday August 5.

Cameron, who will succeed GIANTS' Head Coach Kevin Sheedy at the end of this season, will join award winning journalists Gerard Whateley and Mark Robinson.

Cameron, who played 256 games for the Western Bulldogs and Richmond before moving into coaching, will replace Rodney Eade in his regular Monday night segment alongside Essendon Senior Assistant Coach Mark Thompson.

Eade stood down from his position on AFL 360 after his recent appointment as interim Football Director at Collingwood.

"I am delighted to be joining AFL 360 for the remainder of the 2013 Toyota AFL Premiership season and forthcoming Toyota AFL Finals series," Cameron said.

"AFL 360 has become essential viewing for fans and I look forward to being part of the discussion on issues to do with the game each Monday night.

"It is also a great opportunity for me to help give some insights into the AFL's newest club and our development on and off the field in Western Sydney and the ACT, as well as the challenges facing the code in non-traditional AFL states."

Gerard Whateley said: " We're thrilled to have Leon Cameron join the AFL360 family. Our desire has always been to present footy from all angles and Leon's perspective right now is unique. He's finishing his apprenticeship and about to graduate to the ranks of senior coach.

"That personal transformation is fascinating. Plus Leon has one of the sharpest minds in the game with first hand insights into the key teams and players in the critical run to September. He'll be a compelling addition."

AFL 360 can be seen at 7.30pm between Monday and Thursday on Fox Footy (channel 504).
