Stephen Coniglio is set to make his return for the club’s AAMI Community Series clash in Canberra this Friday.
The 31-year-old has spent the majority of pre-season in modified training as he recovered from two off-season surgeries.
Coniglio returned to full contact training in recent weeks and has been deemed fit to take on the Blues this week.
GIANTS star defender Sam Taylor is expected to be available for Friday night’s clash, as he recovers from a concussion sustained in an intra club match simulation almost a fortnight ago.
Taylor will have to successfully get through Wednesday’s main training in order to be available to plau on Friday night.
Second-year GIANT Phoenix Gothard will be sidelined for this week’s AAMI Community Series match, as he manages an ankle sprain sustained in last week’s practice match against the Swans.
Meanwhile, star recruit Jake Stringer and Canberran Logan Smith won’t be available for selection due to illness.
The GIANTS will travel to Canberra on Wednesday afternoon to participate in their 2025 community camp before taking on the Blues at 5:20pm on Friday at Manuka Oval.
