The 2013 Slater & Gordon GIANTS Academy squads have been selected after a successful zone development series.  

Selection in the club's Academy is a fantastic achievement for young talent and is a reflection of and reward for all of the hard work that the players have put in over the past three months in the development series.

Slater & Gordon GIANTS Academy Manager, Lachlan Buszard congratulated those selected and said that the "Academy is about developing players to be the best that they can be and for those that have AFL aspirations, the work has really only just begun.

"Joseph Redfern and Zac Williams were in the same position as many of the players who have just been selected in the Academy at the start of last year and now they are on our AFL list so this is a fantastic example of where this pathway can take you," Buszard said.

The Slater and Gordon GIANTS Academy will play the Murray Bushrangers on March 17 in Barooga before playing the Swans Academy in a two game series as a trial for NSW/ACT National U16 and U18 selection.
