GIANTS fans can get to know more about Jacob Hopper as the young midfielder features as the latest guest on The Footy Phil podcast.
Hopper joined GIANTS co-captain Phil Davis and GIANTS media manager Alison Zell for the second episode of the 2019 season to talk all things round one and look ahead to round two.
The 22-year-old was late to the podcast recording which, thanks to some friendly banter from Phil, fans will learn is one of Jacob’s bad habits.
Phil also brought up how Jacob’s family snubbed him after the win over Essendon on Sunday and explained that it’s not the first time a Hopper had given the GIANTS co-captain the cold shoulder.
Phil and Jacob talked about how excited they were to play at the newly renamed GIANTS Stadium, with Alison explaining how the inner workings of the ground-breaking announcement.
The GIANTS duo both reflected on the week that was in football and both expressed their disappointment in the racist comments directed at West Coast’s Liam Ryan and the sexist comments that had impacted on Carlton AFLW player Taylah Harris.
