The GIANTS will be without defender Aidan Corr for the next 3-4 weeks due to an ankle injury.
The 21-year old suffered a deltoid ligament strain in the first term on Saturday against the Swans.
Corr, who’s been one of the GIANTS’ first choice defenders through the pre-season and early rounds, bravely played out the match despite the injury.
He’ll join fellow defender Caleb Marchbank in rehab following his syndesmosis injury a week earlier which has him sidelined for another 5-7 weeks.
Defenders Matt Buntine (hamstring tightness) and Adam Kennedy (concussion) will both have to prove their fitness this week but are expected to be available for selection.
In better news, ruckman Dawson Simpson will return to the field following one week on the sideline with a shoulder injury while young midfielder Matthew Kennedy will play NEAFL having overcome knee soreness.
Young defender Jeremy Finlayson (knee) made his return through the NEAFL on the weekend and provided one of the highlights of the match with a superb goal-saving tackle in the second term.
