Due to expected rain in Canberra, the round 3 NEAFL match between the WSU GIANTS and Canberra Demons will now be played at Allinsure Park (Queanbeyan) at 9.30am.

Make sure you get along to Manuka Oval, Canberra for the GIANTS’ second home game of the season as we take on Port Adelaide in round four of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season this Sunday, April 17 at 1.10pm.

Tickets are going fast and the GIANTS are on track for another big crowd with round two’s clash against the Cats the first sell-out of the season.

The GIANTS encourage anyone planning to attend the match to pre-purchase their tickets to avoid match day ticket queues. Arrive early to watch the WSU GIANTS take on the Canberra Demons from 9:30am in the pre-match curtain raiser.

Tickets start from $24 for an adult, $5 for a junior and just $53 for a family of two adults and two kids. ACT GIANTS members can also upgrade their general admission seats to a reserved seat for a special members rate.

Diversity Shield:

The GIANTS and Port Adelaide will be playing for the Diversity Shield. Formerly called the Transfield Services Shield, the two teams have been playing for the Shield since 2012 when the GIANTS first entered the AFL competition. The Shield is a celebration of the diversity and passion of both clubs’ wider communities and one of the fundamental values which underpins the Broadspectrum (formerly Transfield Services) business.

Milestones:

If selected, defender Joel Patfull will play his 200th game against Port Adelaide. Patfull played 182 games for Brisbane before being traded to the GIANTS at the end of the 2014 season. He was named the Lions Club Champion in 2012 and 2013 and finished third in 2014. He has played 17 games for the GIANTS and made his first appearance for 2016 against the Swans last weekend.

New Additional Entrance:

Located immediately next to the Western entrance on Manuka Circle, this gate will take you straight into the family zone where a DJ, face painters and all the GIANTS inflatables are located along with a brand new Toyo Tires Game On! activation.

Public Transport and Parking:

Bus: Free chartered buses will be running for GIANTS members and Ticket holders for all the GIANTS games at Manuka Oval, Canberra this season. Head to ACTION Buses for more details.

ACTION Buses operate a number of buses from and to the following bus interchanges:

- Gungahlin Town Centre
- Woden
- Tuggeranong
- City
- Belconnen Interchanges

Car: Public car parking is available at a number of locations around Manuka Oval including Kingston Shopping Centre; Manuka Shopping Centre, Kingston Oval and surrounding streets.

Patrons are reminded not to leave valuables in their cars as they are responsible for the security of their own vehicles

Disabled Parking is directly outside the Main Gate of Manuka Oval with limited spaces available. Vehicles must display authorised permits to gain access.  

Major Event Parking: General Parking is available at Kingston and Manuka Shopping Centres, Kingston Oval and surrounding streets. Please refer to the seating plan to see which entrance would be most convenient to gain access to your seats.

Junior clubs from all over Canberra and the ACT will do a pre-game march around Manuka Oval to celebrate their AFL juniors season so make sure you’re at the ground early to cheer on more than 1000 local junior players.
