The GIANTS have thrown their support behind diversity and inclusion ahead of Saturday’s match against Port Adelaide which will see them play for the Diversity Shield at UNSW Canberra Oval.
It will be the sixth year in a row the two team have played for the Diversity Shield which is presented by this week’s match day partner, Broadspectrum.
GIANTS players Stephen Coniglio, Nathan Wilson and Tendai Mzungu added their hand prints to those left by GIANTS fans at the corresponding game last year.
These handprints - each from different people at last year’s game - represent Broadspectrum’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in all fields of endeavour.
The Diversity Shield celebrates the diverse nature of the competing clubs and their fans.
Broadspectrum shares this passion for inclusion with their Australian workforce which currently includes 4.8% Indigenous employees.
Fans are encouraged to visit Broadspectrum’s activation at the main gate to get a free high visibility orange jacket and thunder sticks so you can make some noise as you cheer on the GIANTS.
