The GIANTS’ VFL side will feature a host of fresh faces on Sunday after naming five debutants to take on the Hawks in Box Hill.
GIANTS Academy forward Riley Hamilton headlines the five inclusions set to make their GIANTS VFL debut.
Hamilton will be joined on debut by midfielders Lochlan Jenkins and Mackenzie Allen, ruckman Nathan Richards, and half-back Billy Galimberti.
Jenkins (Vermont), Allen (Old Scotch), and Galimberti (St Kevin’s Old Boys) all hail from Victoria, while Richards - who comes in to replace the injured Nick Madden and Braydon Preuss – comes from the Griffith Swans.
Injured duo Madden (ankle) and Cooper Hamilton (minor foot complaint) come out of the side this week, while Joel Rush, Daniel Gauci, and Kale Gabila have been omitted.
Coming off a bye last round, the GIANTS will look to return to the field with a win on Sunday as they take on the seventh-placed Hawks on their home deck.
The GIANTS will field their most inexperienced VFL side of the season on the weekend, with just seven AFL-listed GIANTS against Box Hill.
The two sides will clash on Sunday at 2:05 at Fenjiu Stadium in Box Hill.
