MILESTONE
Pepa Randall will become the fifth GIANTS player to reach 50 AFLW games this Friday night when the GIANTS take on the Suns. The key defender has been an influential figure since the competition's inception in 2017, first playing for Melbourne in the inaugural season. Traded to the GIANTS ahead of the 2018 season, Randall has been a cog in the GIANTS' backline for the past seven seasons and has been a member of the club's leadership group for the past five seasons. The 27-year-old returned to the field in round one this season after spending majority of season seven on the sidelines with an ACL injury.
NEVER SURRENDER
The GIANTS will wear their charcoal ‘Never Surrender’ jumper this Friday night against the Suns.
The Never Surrender jumper was first introduced in the men’s game in 2021 and followed in the women’s game in season seven.
Originally introduced as a special-edition jumper for Derby matches, the ‘Never Surrender’ jumper has become a popular piece of club merchandise that symbolises the character and heart of the club.

KICK A GOAL, PLANT A TREE
Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the third year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environment charity Keep it Cool.
The ‘Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree’ program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout the 2023 season.
