The GIANTS’ AFLW off-season recruitment has extended beyond the playing list, with leading Australian life insurer, TAL signing on as a major partner. The new partnership extends across the next three AFL Women’s seasons.

TAL provides life insurance products and services to more than five million customers and has been supporting Australians and their families through some of their most challenging times for over 150 years.

The partnership will include the TAL logo on the playing and training shorts, as well as signage at GIANTS’ home games and digital campaign integration.

The signing of TAL completes the GIANTS’ AFLW playing kit for season eight.

“We’re thrilled to commence season eight of AFLW with such exciting news and welcome TAL to the family,” said GIANTS Chief Executive Officer, David Matthews.

“We see great alignment across the two brands, as both the GIANTS and TAL value the role they play in enhancing the lives of our local community.

“The signing of TAL and, furthermore, the completion of the full suite of partners on the AFLW playing kit is a testament to the positive direction of our AFLW program, led by Briana Harvey and Cam Bernasconi.”

TAL Group CEO and Managing Director, Brett Clark, said: “As an organisation committed to supporting the health and financial wellbeing of Australians, TAL is honoured to be the Official Life Insurance Partner of the GIANTS’ AFLW team.

“We wish the outstanding athletes of the GIANTS AFLW success as the competition season approaches and we look forward to supporting them on and off the field.”

The GIANTS will play their first match simulation of the season against Port Adelaide this weekend with the 2023 AFL Women’s competition to begin in the first week of September.
