The AFL has released its official fixture for round 24 with the GIANTS and the Blues to close out the home and away season in a mouth-watering clash expected to have major finals implications for both sides.
The GIANTS and Carlton will take centre stage at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, August 27 at 6:10pm.
With tough matches to come against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval and Essendon at GIANTS Stadium, the clash with the Blues could determine if the GIANTS take part in September.
Similarly the Blues' finals fate could also depend on the result against the GIANTS, with Carlton currently sitting 5th with games against Melbourne at the MCG and Gold Coast at Heritage Bank Stadium to come ahead of the final-round showdown.
The unusual time of 6:10pm has been chosen to avoid any crossover with prior matches in order to give the clash the spotlight as both sides battle in a finals-shaping clash.
