Sydney local Jess Doyle has re-signed with the GIANTS ahead of the upcoming NAB AFLW season.
After being drafted to the GIANTS in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft, the former Swans Academy member played six games in the orange and charcoal in her inaugural season.
A consistent performer, with great potential, the 18-year-old was the GIANTS’ equal second leading goal-scorer, with five goals from her six games.
The young star has signed a maximum two-year contract, to call the GIANTS home for at least the next two seasons.
GIANTS Head of Women’s Football Briana Harvey said it’s exciting to have Doyle remain in the orange and charcoal.
"We’re delighted to extend Jess’ contract," Harvey said.
"She’s had a great start to her short career so far and we expect her to be an important part of our team long-term."
Already committed for the upcoming season, a host of core players have also extended their contracts into season eight of the NAB AFLW.
These include three-time Gabrielle Trainor Medallist Alyce Parker and captain Alicia Eva, as well as Rebecca Beeson, Nicola Barr, Pepa Randall, Chloe Dalton, Georgia Garnett and Tarni Evans.
Season seven of AFLW will begin in August, with the NAB AFLW Draft to be held on Wednesday, June 29. Pre-season will begin next week.
