Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Head Coach, Kevin Sheedy shared a joke with comedian Billy Connolly ahead of the release of his new film, Disney Pixar’s Brave.

Sheedy asked Connolly about his take on AFL and was amused by the comedian’s views on the white coats that were once worn by AFL goal umpires.

“There’s a psychiatrist who tells you whether you’ve scored or not,” Connolly said.

"Any sport that employs a guy in a white coat has to be seriously looked at.

“All you need is the van with the square wheels to pick you up after the game… They do that don't they?”

The AFL veteran was quick to return the quip when Connolly asked why his new GIANTS jumper had no sleeves.

“We work on our guns (biceps),” Sheedy said.

“We learnt that off Braveheart and Rob Roy.”

You can catch Sheedy’s entire interview with Billy Connolly in Channel 7’s AFL broadcast this Saturday night.
