The GIANTS have secured Richmond star Brett Deledio following the completion of a trade with the Tigers today.
The GIANTS sent their future first and third round picks in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft to Richmond (first round pick acquired from Carlton) in exchange for the two-time All-Australian.
Deledio played 243 games in a decorated career with the Tigers, winning the Jack Dyer Medal as Club Champion in 2008 and 2009 in addition to claiming All-Australian honours in 2012 and 2015.
The 29-year-old has been one of the AFL’s most consistent players since debuting in 2005, averaging over 22 possessions and kicking 182 goals in his 12 years at Punt Road.
GIANTS General Manager Football Wayne Campbell welcomed Deledio to the GIANTS.
