Mature-age ruckman Braydon Preuss has joined the GIANTS following a trade with the Melbourne Demons.
The GIANTS sent pick 31 to the Demons in exchange for the sought-after ruckman.
The 25-year-old stands at 206cm and 114kg and has played 18 games over six seasons in the AFL at both the Demons and North Melbourne.
The Queensland native was drafted to the Kangaroos with pick 15 in the 2015 Rookie Draft and spent four years at Arden St developing under Todd Goldstein.
The former Gold Coast Suns Academy member was at the Demons for the last two seasons, developing under champion ruck Max Gawn.
GIANTS General Manager of Football Jason McCartney welcomed Preuss to the club.
“We're excited to welcome Braydon to the GIANTS for at least the next three seasons,” McCartney said.
“We were in the market for a ruckman and earmarked Braydon very early as someone who could add significantly to our list.
“We were thrilled that he chose the GIANTS for the next chapter of his career and it’s a great endorsement for our club.
“Braydon has had a tremendous apprenticeship under star rucks Todd Goldstein and Max Gawn and is ready to take his game to the next level."
The GIANTS now hold picks 10, 44, 52, 74 and 88 in the draft.
