Hawthorn legend and Greater Western Sydney GIANTS specialist forwards coach Dermott Brereton has told GIANTS TV the stage is set for a classic grand final.

Speaking at the GIANTS grand final lunch, Brereton tipped with his heart and said his former team should finish on top.

“It should be a great game, Sydney have to be on the pace for the whole day,” said Brereton.

“I think I’ll go with a little bit of the heart here and say Hawthorn should run over them just before three quarter time and put the margin to about three or four goals.

“Once again, we’re set for a cracker on grand final day.”

Brereton joined former team mate Robert DiPierdomenico in predicting the GIANTS would soon reach the AFL’s greatest stage.

“Hopefully, within about the next four year the GWS people will be a little bit nervous because they will be in one of these days,” said Brereton.

“There’s serious talent there.”
