The GIANTS 2012 membership continues to climb, with the club topping 7,000 members two weeks out from its first game against the Sydney Swans at ANZ Stadium on March 24.
GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews thanked those who had signed up as members and encouraged all footy fans to get on board for the season ahead.
“We had a terrific win in the NAB Cup against Gold Coast at Albury on the weekend and hopefully it gave people a glimpse of what is to come from our young and talented side,” he said.
“To reach 7000 members is a milestone but we still have a long way to go as we build a great club to represent Greater Western Sydney and Canberra.
“We had more than 12,000 foundation members last year and I encourage all those who have still not signed up to do so and be part of history in 2012.”
The GIANTS will play Richmond at Manuka Oval in Canberra this Saturday at 12.30pm in their final NAB Cup match before the Sydney Derby. It will follow their Australia Post AFL Community Camp in Canberra this Thursday and Friday.
More than 20,000 tickets have already been issued for the Sydney Derby to open the 2012 AFL Premiership Season.
