Greater Western Sydney GIANTS midfielder Tom Scully has urged all GIANTS supporters to get to SKODA Stadium on Saturday afternoon and show the Magpie army that they are in our territory.
Scully spoke exclusively to GIANTS TV, saying that the clash against the Pies presented his young teammates with an exciting opportunity to match themselves against quality opposition.
“We know how much of a good side they are so it’s going to be a great challenge for some of our younger guys but everyone is looking forward to it.
“Wherever you play you’re going to be playing on a quality player so it’s going to be a good chance for the boys to test themselves against A graders in the competition,” Scully said.
The fast paced midfielder encouraged GIANTS fans who are new to the AFL to come along and experience the spectacle that is the black and white army.
“They’re certainly a unique bunch so if people don’t know much about them they would be worth coming down to have a look at.
“Full credit to them, they create a really good atmosphere.
“Collingwood fans are coming in to our territory so it would be great to see as many GIANTS fans down here as possible, all dressed up in their orange.
“The orange really stands out, especially here (at SKODA Stadium). It’s a really good atmosphere here and it’s a place that hopefully in years to come we can turn in to a fortress and become a really hard side to play when we play here.
“GIANTS fans come down to the game, it should be a great atmosphere and a great spectacle to watch.”
