The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS today kicked off their Australia Post Community Camp in Canberra.

GIANTS players and coaching staff enjoyed the first of a busy two days in the nations capital, visiting schools and clubs across the region.

Speaking to the media at Burgmann College in Gungahlin, Head Coach Kevin Sheedy said that the community camp was a great opportunity for the club to continue to immerse themselves in the ACT community.

“We have a great partnership in Canberra and we’re thrilled to be holding our community camp here for the second year in a row,” Sheedy said.

“Our new draftees will take part in their first community camp, Lachie Whitfield is here with me today and looks like he’s enjoying himself.

“We will spread out to a massive number of schools and local clubs over the next few days and visit the hospitals tomorrow as well.”
