The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have enjoyed a very busy day in the Riverina region today, visiting 17 local schools, a hospital and participating in an AFL Super Clinic at Lavington Oval.

With their Round 3 NAB Cup match against the Gold Coast SUNS being played at Lavington tomorrow night, the GIANTS took the opportunity to get out and about in the Albury community today.

“It’s been a massive day for the boys.

“We flew in to Albury early this morning and visited 17 schools in the area and met a lot of enthusiastic kids.

“This is in our GWS catchment zone so it’s great that we can get down here for a NAB Cup game and spend some time in the community.

“We’ve just finished our final training session before our big game against the Gold Coast SUNS at Lavington tomorrow and now we’re involved in some kids clinics at Lavington.”

Tyson said that the side is going in to tomorrow night’s clash in good spirits and are hoping to claim their first win for 2012.

“We’re pretty confident, the session went really well and the ground staff here have done a great job, the ground is in perfect condition.

“Tomorrow we’ll look to get on the board early, put them under pressure and have a good competitive game.”
