Ruckman Andrew Phillips and midfielder Jacob Townsend will have hip surgery this week and miss the rest of the season.
After playing nine games in 2012, Phillips has not taken to the field this year this year due to hamstring issues while Townsend has played a number of different roles in his eight AFL games in his second season.
The pair will join Rhys Palmer who had foot surgery last week and key forward Jon Patton on the sidelines.
In positive news for the GIANTS, Patton has resumed running and is progressing well after a knee reconstruction in April.
