What’s in store for 2013:
Dylan Shiel missed the final nine rounds of the 2012 season with a foot problem but has put that behind him with a solid pre-season.

The 20 year old played all four NAB Cup matches and was one of the GIANTS best in the 16-point practice match victory over St Kilda.

His 12 games in 2012 included a NAB Rising Star nomination for his 21-possessions and two-goals against Geelong in round 10, and he’s set to build on that tally this season.

What the coaches had to say:

James McDonald, Midfield Coach
“Dylan is coming back from a serious injury and operation with his foot but he’s had a good pre-season and been able to do all the work and on the weekend (against St Kilda) he found some form that we hope he can take into the Premiership season."

What Shiel had to say:
“My aim is to stay injury free and play as many games as I can.

“I hope that I can play 15 games for the year. I want to play some consistent and exciting footy; go for a few more runs and break a few more tackles.”
