Hoskin-Elliott In
Young midfielder Will Hoskin-Elliott will play his first game for the season when the GIANTS take on Melbourne at Spotless Stadium this Sunday.
Hoskin-Elliott will play his 20th AFL match after impressing for the UWS GIANTS against the NT Thunder in the NEAFL last week.
Lachie Whitfield is the only omission from the Round 2 team that lost to St Kilda by seven points with a foot injury.
Jed Lamb, Zac Williams and Adam Tomlinson have been named as the emergencies.
Head Coach Leon Cameron said it was another exciting challenge for the GIANTS.
"The boys have trained well this week after a disappointing loss to St Kilda last weekend,” said Cameron.
"It’s a massive match this weekend up against the Melbourne Demons who are going to be hungry as they look for their first win of the season.
"The Demons were very competitive in round one against St Kilda and probably should have won that game, and we’re expecting a really close game on Sunday.
"It’s our last game in Sydney for six weeks so we hope to have a big crowd at Spotless Stadium to cheer on the GIANTS,” he said.
The GIANTS play Melbourne at Spotless Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park (formerly Skoda Stadium) at 1.10pm on Sunday, April 6. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.au
