Lamb, 21, was a first round pick in the 2010 AFL Draft and played 12 games for the Swans before switching to the GIANTS as the first selection in the 2013 pre-season draft.
Fellow small forward Liam Sumner also comes into the GIANTS team following some strong form in the NEAFL.
The pair replace Devon Smith (suspended) and Dylan Addison (omitted).
GIANTS Head Coach Leon Cameron said both Lamb and Sumner deserve their opportunity.
“Jed Lamb and Liam Sumner have been putting their hands up with some strong NEAFL form and we’re confident that these two players will perform well in their first AFL games for the season,” said Cameron.
“The Bulldogs are a really good side and they're coming off a good win against Richmond, and it’s another big test for us.
“There was only a kick between us and the Bulldogs at StarTrack Oval last year and it’s fantastic to be playing in Canberra again.
“We have a strong supporter base in Canberra and we’re looking forward to building on our strong start to the year,” he said.

The match will be broadcast live across the country on Fox Footy and on 7mate in NSW and ACT.
