BACK TO BACK
So we took on the Blues,
And we had a great win.
We went back to back,
Because we never give in.
The crowd were so pumped,
Our boys made us so proud.
We screamed all day long,
We were all so loud.
For it was two in a row,
Our first time in history.
What a gigantic effort,
And what a great victory.
With Cogs and Kelly,
Whitfield and Bugg.
With teamwork and guts,
It was an old fashioned slug.
With Patton up forward,
And Will flying high,
We were a handful for anyone,
The end for Carlton was nigh.
With Josh on the Hunt,
And Kelly on the run.
It was to be Shaw,
A game that had hum.
With Wilson and Frost
Added to the mix.
And Tomlinson too,
It was sure a great fix.
We saw big Tommy Boyd,
Kick his very first goal.
We saw Rhys Palmer’s effort,
Giving his heart and his soul.
We saw our Dylan Shiel,
Kick his goal on the run.
It took him three bounces,
He was having some fun.
We saw a colossal effort,
From our big boy Mummy.
And you know the opposition,
Just wanted to spit the dummy.
All our boys tackled hard,
All our boys were so willing.
And what a thrill to see Kristian Jaksch,
Kick a goal that deserved top billing.
And when you look down back,
Our boys were so solid.
For all the blue’s forwards,
They made it so torrid.
For Mohr and Kennedy,
Are like the rock of Gilbraltar,
Never giving an inch,
And who never will falter.
And I take my hat off,
To Smith and Treloar.
Fifty GIANT Games,
So wonderful for sure.
To our magnificent captains,
To Callan Ward and Phil Davis,
It’s an honour to have you,
For you are surely the bravest.
So with Orange pumping through our hearts,
When the final siren went,
We were jumping for joy,
Singing our song til we’re spent.
And our heroes gave us hugs
They gave us high fives
And I know this one thing,
I will be a GIANT 'til I die.
