GIANTS Vice-Captain Heath Shaw has been released from hospital following a heavy collision in the first quarter of the match against the Swans at the SCG last night.

Shaw regained consciousness shortly after the incident and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with concussion. 

General Manager Football Graeme Allan said scans cleared Shaw of any structural damage and he was kept overnight as a precaution.

"A decision on his availability for next Saturday's match against Adelaide at Spotless Stadium won't be made until he assessed in the coming days," Allan said.
