Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Coach Kevin Sheedy has issued a warning to his old club Essendon, urging them not to take his young guns lightly in Saturday night’s match at SKODA Stadium.


 

The GIANTS have made six changes to their squad ahead of their first match at their new home ground.

“We’ve made a lot of changes this week coming off a disappointing loss in Brisbane,” Sheedy said.


 

“We are looking forward to this game, we’ve brought most of our experienced players back in and these boys won the game against the Gold Coast SUNS only a few weeks ago and played very well against Carlton.


 

“We’ve brought in some very good young players with Tom Bugg, Adam Kennedy who played really well against Carlton, Dylan Shiel, Devon Smith and Curtly Hampton.”


 

Sheedy will coach against the club that he coached for 27 years for the first time on Saturday night but has warned the Bombers not to be complacent on their trip north.


 

“If you’re looking Essendon, don’t think that you’re just coming up here for four premiership points and percentage, you’ll have the wrong attitude,” he said.


 

“I don’t know what the Bombers line up is but Hirdy, we’re coming for you.”
