The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS made a special delivery to the pediatrics ward at Canberra Hospital yesterday thanks to Co-Major Partner Lifebroker.
GIANTS players were in the nation’s capital for their Australia Post Community Camp for the second year and spent two days visiting schools, junior clubs and hospitals across the region.
Lifebroker, Australia’s leading specialist life insurance broker and GIANTS Co-Major Partner happily donated some fantastic items to the hospital.
Tom Scully along with Toby Greene, Curtly Hampton, Sam Reid, and Anthony Miles were there to hand out some great GIANTS gear and a special appearance from G-MAN certainly brought some smiles to the faces of the kids (and the staff).
The Canberra Hospital is currently refurbishing its Womens and Childrens ward and will soon move into a purpose built section of the hospital where the Lifebroker donated blackboard and bean bags will take pride of place.
“We’ve really enjoyed our community camp so far and to be able to come in here and give these kids and their families something small to make their stay a bit more fun is pretty special,” Scully said.
“A big thank you to Lifebroker for donating this gear and we really hope that the kids get some enjoyment out of it.”
A gift for Canberra Hospital
