Our Season Summary looks back at how each GIANTS player fared during the 2015 AFL season.

Name: Jeremy Cameron
Number: 18
2015 Games: 22 AFL
AFL Fantasy Average: 70
Awards: GIANTS’ Leading Goal Kicker, Member of the Virgin Australia All Australian Squad, Member of the 22Under22 side, GIANTS’ Goal of the Year.

Background: Jeremy Cameron joined the GIANTS as a 17-year-old Access Selection in 2011. He made his debut in Round 1, 2012.

Best Game: Round 22 v Carlton - 17 touches, 12 marks, 7 goals, 4 tackles.

Summary: Cameron was back to his best in 2015 after putting his injury concerns from the previous year behind him. He was exceptional up forward, always presenting an option and thrilling fans with some incredible marks and jaw-dropping goals. The 22-year-old kicked a career-high 63 goals and finished second in the Coleman Medal count behind Josh Kennedy. He slotted two 7-goal hauls against Hawthorn and Carlton and kicked three goals or more on nine occasions. Unlucky not to be named All Australian, Cameron remains a crucial part of the GIANTS forward structure and played major role in developing Cam McCarthy into another strong leading option. Cameron re-signed in March, making him a GIANT until at least the end of 2020.

Pat On The Back: With Jon Patton recovering from a knee reconstruction and Cam McCarthy still honing his craft the GIANTS needed Jeremy Cameron to step up again and be the number one option. He did.

What They Said: "I'm really happy up here. It was quite an easy decision in the end. We want success, we want to see the wheel turn and that's why I signed on” - Jeremy Cameron

Look Ahead: The addition of Steve Johnson and return of Jon Patton next season will help take some pressure off Cameron who will relish not dealing with multiple defenders at once.
