As the GIANTS host Essendon in our first Friday night game at Spotless Stadium, we’ve got 10 reasons why you have to be at the NAB Challenge.

Say goodbye to a GIANT of the AFL as Kevin Sheedy leaves the club to take up a new position in Melbourne. The GIANTS will pay tribute to our inaugural coach with a host of celebrations at the ground. Tag your best photos with Sheeds #ThanksSheeds and they could make the big screen at the game.
2. Friday Night Lights
The GIANTS hit the big stage for the first time with our first ever Friday night game at Spotless Stadium. It’s also the first time Spotless Stadium has hosted a NAB Challenge match.
3. FREE Entry For Members

5. Go Green for St Patrick’s Day
Go green at Spotless Stadium on Friday for your chance to win a trip to Ireland! With thanks to Tourism Ireland, one lucky fan at the GIANTS' NAB Challenge match against Essendon on Friday night will win a holiday valued at $6000 as the GIANTS celebrate St Patrick's Day. There will also be a Camogie (Ladies Hurling) and Ladies Gaelic Football exhibition game pre-match.
6. Free Train Travel
Travelling by trains to Sydney Olympic Park is FREE with your match ticket or membership card and trains depart Lidcombe station every 10 minutes until midnight.
7. Pre-Match Entertainment
Join GIANTS players and fans at The Lounge Bar and Café located on the corner of Showground Rd and Murrary Rose Ave before the match. A duo from the GIANTS' band Big Big Sound will play from 5pm with players in attendance from 5.30pm. They will then join the cheersquad who will lead GIANTS members and supporters on a march along Showground Rd to Spotless Stadium at 6.20pm.
8. Big Names Back
It might only be pre-season but the big names will be in action with the GIANTS welcoming back ruckman Shane Mumford, Vice-Captain Heath Shaw and young stars Adam Treloar and Devon Smith, who will all play their first NAB Challenge games for the season.
