Round 1 vs Melbourne @ MCG – Saturday 26^th March, 1:40pm.

The beginning of the premiership season sees the GIANTS away from home at the home of football against a Demons side on the rise. This game could also mark the GIANTS debut of former Geelong duo, Stevie Johnson and Dawson Simpson. On the other side, this could also be former GIANT Tom Bugg’s debut for Melbourne against his old side.

Round 6 vs Hawthorn @ Spotless Stadium – Saturday 30^th April, 4:35pm.

The GIANTS first game back at Spotless Stadium in 2016 will be a must see game, as the reigning premiers come to town. We all remember the corresponding fixture last year when the GIANTS claimed arguably the upset of the season. Both teams will be up for this clash, with the Hawks seeking revenge for last season’s boilover. In the family friendly time of 4:35pm, this clash could see a huge crowd at Spotless.

 Round 12 vs Sydney @ Spotless Stadium – Sunday 12^th June, 4:40pm.

The second Battle of The Bridge matchup of the season will also be the GIANTS’ 100^th match in the AFL. At this stage of the season, this could very easily be a must win for the Giants, and you know that they will be up for it. The Swans will be no walkover though, with the Red and the White improving over the off season, filling some glaring needs. This could be the closest Battle of The Bridge yet.

 Round 16 vs Collingwood @ Spotless Stadium – Saturday 9^th July, 1:40pm.

After the trade of midfield magician Adam Treloar, this was a fixture that most GIANTS fans looked to when it was released. But this is a vastly improved Collingwood side, also adding Jeremy Howe and James Aish to complement their already talented squad. The GIANTS will also be looking to make history in this match with their first win over Collingwood, after losing their first four attempts at it.

 Round 19 vs Richmond @ StarTrack Oval – Saturday 30^th July, 1:45pm.

This clash could see the highest crowd at StarTrack Oval, which was set in 2006 at 14,922. This is a huge win for Canberra fans, with two of the most exciting teams in the AFL going head to head in their backyard. The midfield matchup will be crucial in this game with both sides having stars capable of turning the game on its head. With the GIANTS wanting to play finals in 2016, this has to be seen as a must win game. No doubt there will also be some niggle in the match with former Giant Jacob Townsend joining the Tigers in the 2015 Trade Period.
