Young forward Jeremy Cameron has capped off his remarkable season by being awarded the most votes for the GIANTS at the Brownlow Medal.
The 20-year old polled six votes, to finish ahead of vice-captain Tom Scully (five) and co-captain Callan Ward (four) while midfielders Dylan Shiel and Lachie Whitfield also polled a vote each.
Cameron had a standout season, finishing third in the Coleman Medal kicking 62 goals, winning the Kevin Sheedy Medal as the GIANTS Club Champion and becoming the first GIANTS player named in the All Australian team.
Despite kicking a club record seven goals against Collingwood at the MCG in Round 18, Cameron missed out on being named best on ground, being awarded two votes for his starring performance.
The umpires also gave Cameron two votes in Round 6 for his six goal effort against Essendon and another two votes for his four goal performance against Geelong at SKODA Stadium in Round 11.
Ward was the only GIANTS player to receive the maximum number of votes on Monday night, polling three votes in the win against Melbourne in Round 19 with 31 possessions and four goals.
Gold Coast Suns captain Gary Ablett Jnr won his second Brownlow Medal polling 28 votes, ahead of his former Geelong team mate Joel Selwood (27) and Collingwood’s Dane Swan (27).
