Despite falling agonisingly short of playing in the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final, two GIANTS will have an involvement in the day’s festivities.

GIANTS midfielder Stephen Coniglio will represent the GIANTS’ in this year’s 13CABS Grand Final Sprint, while forward Jonathon Patton will participate in Fox Footy’s Longest Kick competition.

Known for his elite running capacity, Coniglio will be looking to prove he’s the fastest in the competition over 100 meters when he takes to the MCG on Saturday.

Ruckman Rory Lobb represented the GIANTS in the 2015 13CABS Grand Final Sprint that was eventually won by North Melbourne’s Majak Daw.

The race will be broadcast on Channel Seven at half time of the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Patton will be out to prove he’s the biggest kick in the AFL when he takes on the best in the competition at Fox Footy’s Longest Kick competition.

Patton will attempt to kick 75 metres across the Yarra River from Birrarung Marr, from 10 o’clock on Grand Final morning.

In 2015 North Melbourne’s Drew Petrie won with a 60.4m torpedo punt.

His kick will be broadcast live on Fox Footy (Channel 504 on Foxtel) and live streamed on foxfooty.com.au
