GIANTS ruckman Shane Mumford is expected to line up against Richmond in Canberra on Saturday.

Scans have cleared Mumford of any structural damage to his right knee following Sunday night’s win over Port Adelaide.

Mumford left the field in the closing minutes of the match after landing awkwardly in a marking contest, however GIANTS medical staff are confident the 30-year old will be available for Saturday’s match.

Meanwhile, Rhys Palmer (calf) and Daniel Lloyd (knee) are available for selection this weekend.

Midfield duo Ryan Griffen (hamstring) and Jack Steele (hand) will face fitness tests this week to determine their availability.

Four players made a successful return through the NEAFL with Matt Buntine (hamstring), Lachie Whitfield (illness), Will Hoskin-Elliott (quad) and Tim Mohr (hamstring) all performing well in the WSU GIANTS' victory over the Sydney Swans reserves.

Aidan Corr (ankle) and Jacob Hopper (back) remain in the in the rehabilitation group and are expected to return in the coming weeks.

As announced on Monday, young defender Caleb Marchbank won’t play again in 2016 due to a shoulder reconstruction.
