The GIANTS have made four inclusions to their extended squad for this weekend’s trip to South Australia to take on the Saints in Gather Round.
Stephen Coniglio, James Leake, Harvey Thomas and Toby McMullin have all been named in the 26-man squad.
Coniglio was a late out for the GIANTS’ 81-point win over the Eagles at ENGIE Stadium last weekend with glute irritation and will need to get through Friday’s main training in order to be named in the final team of 23 on Friday.
Leake has been recalled to the squad as he looks to build on his two career games, following his AFL debut in Opening Round last month.
Thomas (20 disposals, three goals) and McMullin (30 disposals, one goal) were among the standouts in the club’s VFL win at Blacktown last weekend, earning a place in the extended squad and pushing for their first senior game this season.
Meanwhile, Brent Daniels will miss Sunday’s match in South Australia due to injury.
The final team of 23 will be confirmed at 5pm on Friday, following the club’s main training session.
The GIANTS will face the Saints from 3:20pm AEST / 2:50pm ACST on Sunday at Norwood Oval.
