Co-captain Phil Davis has been cleared of any damage to the toe he injured during the GIANTS’ 27 point win over Essendon last Sunday.
The GIANTS’ co-captain underwent scans following the match and will be put through his paces to see if he lines up in this Saturday’s clash against Carlton at Spotless Stadium.
Ruckman Shane Mumford will also be put to the test during training this week, after he was forced out of the line up to face the Bombers with an ankle complaint.
Star recruit Steve Johnson will be looking to prove his fitness after injuring his foot in the Sydney Derby win a fortnight ago, while young defender Adam Kennedy is also progressing well after injuring his shoulder in the round 10 loss to Adelaide.
Forward Devon Smith is edging closer to a return to full fitness with his recovery from knee surgery progressing well.
Will Hoskin-Elliott (Hamstring), Aidan Corr (ankle), Caleb Marchbank (ankle) and Tim Mohr (hamstring) remain in the rehab group.
