Thirsty Merc:
One of Australia’s hottest musical acts, Thirsty Merc, will perform on the Virgin Australia Stage to kick off the 2016 season at Spotless Stadium.
The trio of Rai Thistlethwayte, Phil Stack and Matt Smith will perform at half-time show as well as post-match during kick-to-kick on the purpose-built stage just metres from the field.
Their hit songs include My Completeness, Someday, Someday, In the Summertime and 20 Good Reasons.
Milestones:
Leon Cameron will oversee his 50th AFL game as senior coach of the GIANTS. Cameron arrived at the club in 2013 to work as Senior Assistant Coach under the tutelage of AFL legend and GIANTS inaugural coach Kevin Sheedy. After an AFL career spanning 256 games at the Western Bulldogs and Richmond, Cameron spent more than a decade as an Assistant Coach at the Bulldogs and Hawthorn. Cameron took over as head coach of the GIANTS in round one, 2014.

Spotless Stadium is located in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct just minutes from Olympic Park Station and across from ANZ Stadium and Qudos Bank Arena (formerly Allphones Arena).
Public Transport:
Travelling by trains to Sydney Olympic Park is FREE with your match ticket or membership card and trains depart Lidcombe station every 10 minutes until midnight.
Sydney buses will operate to a regular weekend timetable. Route 525 operates between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park (cost not included in your match ticket).

Parking:
Parking is available throughout Sydney Olympic Park. Pre-purchasing tickets to these car parks is recommended with the P1 carpark being within the closest proximity to Spotless Stadium. To find out more, click here.

Head down the road to the GIANTS’ Learning Life Centre at 1 Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park straight after kick to kick for a huge post-match event with all the GIANTS players. The GIANTS’ resident band Big Big Sound will be playing live and there’ll be plenty of free family entertainment for all with the GIANTS Fan Zone, along with food and beverages available to purchase.
