Just 30 days ago, cattle were roaming on Spotless Stadium as part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Not that you’d know it when you look over the home ground of the GIANTS ahead of Saturday’s clash between two of the AFL’s most exciting teams.
Spotless Stadium Head Curator Terry O’Keeffe and his team replaced approximately 2300 square metres of turf within three days of the Show finishing, to get the ground ready for this round six blockbuster.
The ground staff then set in place a strict regime of specialised care, monitored watering, fertilising and aeration.
The GIANTS completed their main training session for the week on Spotless Stadium on Wednesday with the Hawks having a practice run on Friday afternoon.
Make sure you’re there on Saturday afternoon for what promises to be one of the biggest games of the season in Sydney.
