The GIANTS’ round two AFLW match against Carlton at Ikon Park on Saturday has changed times to form part of a historic double header.

The Carlton v GIANTS match, originally scheduled to start at 5.05pm AEDT will now start at 3.35pm AEDT, and the Magpies v Demons clash will kick off at 7.40pm AEDT.

"We feel Ikon Park is the best available option to host Saturday's matches," the AFL's general manager of game and marketing development Simon Lethlean said.

"Following the great attendances of the opening round last weekend, we want to make sure those who wish to attend the AFL Women's matches this weekend can do so," he said. 

"We have worked closely with the venue, clubs and the broadcasters to ensure the changeover period between the two matches is appropriate.

"I encourage footy fans to take public transport to the games as there will be no public parking on the Princes Park lawns due to Carlton's family day activities."

All AFLW matches will be streamed live on the AFL Official App and AFL.com.au.

Entry is free to all AFLW matches excluding games that form part of a double header with the JLT Community Series.

The GIANTS take on Carlton in round two of the NAB AFL Women’s competition at 3.35pm AEDT on Saturday, February 11.
