It was business as usual as the GIANTS’ full squad hit the track with a familiar face taking out the first 3km time trial of the 2018 pre-season on Monday morning.
It was no surprise when Tom Scully led home the field that also included renowned runners Adam Tomlinson, Josh Kelly and Lachie Whitfield.
The whole squad is back and they're off and running with a 3km time trial.

A late-charging Tomlinson was unable to track down Scully who led early and never relinquished his lead.
The surprise packet from the first day back was star forward Jeremy Cameron who posted a career-best finish to cross the line seventh ahead of a number of impressive runners.
The GIANTS’ new draftees had the daunting task of taking to the track with the club’s 5-year+ players who all returned this week.
GIANTS Academy graduate and Western Sydney local Nick Shipley impressed, finishing in the top 10 for his first official time trial as an AFL player. Shipley is no stranger to the club, having completed some of last season’s pre-season with the group while in his Under-18s year.
The only group spared the Monday morning torture were the 2nd-4th year players who completed their own time trial when they returned a fortnight ago and selected players on restricted running programs.
The entire playing list has now returned with just 111 days until round one.

We can't tell if they're smiling because the 3km is over or because they're happy to be back.
