The GIANTS have named their 25-man squad as they get set to head south to take on Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Veteran forward Steve Johnson, ruckman Dawson Simpson and defender Jeremy Finlayson have all been added to an extended interchange bench, with the final team to be named on gwsgiants.com.au at 5pm on Friday.
Johnson has missed the past two matches with a niggling knee injury but could return to play the 284th game of his illustrious career.
Also in line to play is ruckman Dawson Simpson, who is yet to debut at the GIANTS after 28 games with Geelong.
Simpson has been in exceptional form in the NEAFL and his 63 hit outs last week was the fifth-highest total in NEAFL history.
Young defender Jeremy Finlayson has also been named on the bench with the 21-year-old GIANTS Academy graduate a possible debutant.
A raw prospect when he arrived at the club through the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, Finlayson has developed into an agile running defender, standing at 196cm tall and 91kg.
The final 22 will be named at 5pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au.
