Phil Davis, Josh Kelly
Co-captain Davis missed last week’s match after suffering a concussion against the West Coast Eagles in round eight.
“Phil’s improving every single day which is what you want from any sort of injury, concussion especially,” said GIANTS Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce.
“He’s got some milestones he needs to tick off on his progression back to playing but we’re happy with his progress at this stage.”
Kelly looks set to return from going soreness for his first game since round three should he train strongly during Wednesday’s main session.
“He’s really confident,” Joyce said.
“He’s had a really good solid few weeks of running and footy now. He needs to get through training this week and put his hand up for selection.”
Reid is also in contention after feeling some soreness in his hamstring at the end of last Saturday’s clash with North Melbourne.
“He had some pain at the back of his leg which people will commonly associate with being a hamstring strain,” Joyce said.
“He had a scan the next day which showed up clear, which is good.
“We’re really encouraged that there’s no structural damage, but he needs to become symptom-free and run and train and all those sorts of things and should he do that over the next couple of days I expect him to play this weekend.”
