In 2019, I want to be more like Stephen Coniglio….
That’s the reaction that a lot of people have had in recent days when they’ve seen what the gutsy midfielder has done to celebrate his 25th birthday.
There’s no doubt that this is the season of giving, but Coniglio has taken it to the next level by surprising 25 children in recent days to celebrate his quarter-century milestone.

There was a number of GIANTS members across Western Sydney that got a knock on the door from Coniglio while he also sent gifts to several youngsters from interstate that had contacted him throughout 2018.
Bags of GIANTS merchandise (paid for by the man himself and done without the knowledge of anyone at the club) have been sent far and wide for the occasion.
One of the members he visited happened to be the son of 2GB presenter and passionate GIANTS fan John Stanley, who shared the tale on his radio show on Saturday.
It’s not the first time the GIANTS vice-captain has shared one of his milestones with the next generation, with his 100th game seeing him fly over a deserving school student from his home town of Perth to share the moment.
Coniglio and the rest of his teammates will take a well-earned break over the Christmas and New Year period from Wednesday, returning to training on January 9.
