Zippy small forward Brent Daniels is out to make his mark in his second season after signing a two-year contract extension with the GIANTS.
20-year-old Daniels is coming off a debut 2018 season where he played seven games in a row after debuting in round 16 in Perth.

His first seven games produced four goals, with the club’s shortest player admitting it could have been a few more.
“It was definitely a learning curve for me,” Daniels told GIANTS TV.
“I think I had a lot of chances to kick goals but I think I felt the pressure a little bit.
“It was great to get the first seven out of the way and hopefully I can add to that this year with a little more experience and a little bit more composure.”
The forward from country Victoria had an interrupted pre-season in his first season at the club, with knee surgery keeping him out until early in the year.
12 months on, he says he is relishing the opportunity to be out on the track with the boys in the Sydney heat.
"I think the main thing is I just feel a lot fitter,” he said.
“Last year I didn’t get much of a pre-season in so I just feel stronger and fitter and I’m ready to go.
“I think (this year) is just about getting the best out of myself and playing as many AFL games as I can.
“That’s the main thing, just playing good footy and being consistent.”
Daniels had a year to run on his initial contract with the club but quickly took the opportunity to confirm himself in the orange and charcoal for a further two seasons.
“I just think it was the right time to do it, just before the season,” he said.
“I feel really comfortable up here in Sydney, I think the club’s going places and I feel we’ve got a very special group.
“I’ve also made some great mates along the way as well so that helped me make the decision.”
Daniels’ contract extension came on the same day important defender Nick Haynes also put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the GIANTS.
“I think with ‘Haynesy’ signing on for five years it just shows how we’re going as a club and where he thinks we’re going and I think it’s going to be a pretty special year for us.”
