GIANTS forward Toby Greene will head to the tribunal in Melbourne on Tuesday to challenge his one-match suspension.
Greene was charged by the Match Review Officer for making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region of Brisbane’s Lachie Neale during the second quarter of Saturday night’s semi-final.
The 25-year-old was offered a one-match sanction with an early plea, but the GIANTS have opted to take the charge to the tribunal.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact and high contact, which carries a one-match sanction.
The GIANTS take on Collingwood in a Preliminary Final at the MCG on Saturday evening.
