Vice-Captain Tom Scully is likely to return for the GIANTS against Adelaide at Spotless Stadium this Saturday.
Scully has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury, and will undergo a fitness test this week.
A decision on Heath Shaw’s availability following a heavy collision against the Swans will be made later in the week.
Shaw spent Saturday night in St Vincent’s hospital following a concussion suffered in the first quarter at the SCG.
Young ruckman Andrew Phillips is expected to play this week after being a late withdrawal from the UWS GIANTS team with hamstring tightness last week.
Defenders Stephen Gilham (hand) and Curtly Hampton (shoulder) continue to recover from their injuries and are expected to return in the coming weeks.
Fellow defender Aidan Corr has undergone shoulder surgery that will rule him out for the rest of the season and is recovering well.
In disappointing news for the GIANTS, runner Simon Katich is expected to miss one more week with a calf injury that has seen him miss the last fortnight.
