GIANTS fans eager to get their first look at this year’s exciting and new-look AFLW line-up will get their wish on Saturday with the club set to clash with the Swans in their first official pre-season hit-out.
Saturday’s match simulation, which allows the clubs to agree beforehand on the number of players used, the game length, and the number of breaks, will consist of six 15-minute quarters plus time on.
The match will be free entry for the general public.
The GIANTS will kick-start their 2024 AFLW campaign with an exciting opening round clash with the Western Bulldogs in Canberra on Saturday, August 31.

KICK A GOAL, PLANT A TREE
Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the fourth year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environmental charity Keep it Cool.
The 'Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree' program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native Australian tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout the 2024 season.

TEAM SELECTION
The GIANTS will name their team to take on the Lions at 6:20pm on Thursday at gwsgiants.com.au.
The VFL team will be named at 5pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au.
BROADCAST
Saturday’s match will be shown live and free on Channel Seven in NSW, the ACT and Queensland from 1:30pm as well as live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally.
